Day 1 - Perth to Kalbarri

Our first stop will be the impressive Pinnacles Desert in Nambung National Park. You’ll enjoy a fully guided tour through these amazing limestone formations and drop in at the Discovery Centre before we have lunch by the sea. After a quick stop in the town of Geraldton it will be on to Big River Ranch for some true blue Aussie hospitality and our overnight stay. (L, D).

Day 2 - Kalbarri to Shark Bay/Monkey Mia

We will visit the marvels of The Murchison Gorge, Natures Window and Z-Bend in Kalbarri National Park. Here you will have the option to try abseiling into the gorge (optional $30)! If conditions allow us, we will cool off with a swim in the Murchison River before we’re back on the bus travelling north to Shell Beach and Monkey Mia Dolphin Resort for our accommodation. Day 3 - Shark Bay to Coral Bay

The morning of day 3 we will meet the famous Monkey Mia Dolphins and get some amazing photos. Then join us on an optional 1 hour wild life sail ($35), hire a Kayak and go for a paddle ($15), chill out on the beach or at the resort. Then it will be back on the road mid-morning we visit the breathing rock formations, the Stromatolites, before settling in to our accommodation in Coral Bay, located right on the famous Ningaloo Reef! Day 4 - Coral Bay

All day is yours to enjoy the many great tours and activities Coral Bay has to offer, with special discounts available as an Aussie Wanderer passenger! Go for a stroll on the beach and check out the shark nursery, swim with the manta rays, hang out at the local or go for a snorkel on the Ningaloo Reef only meters from shore. On this evening we take the short drive up the peninsular to Exmouth and check in to our accommodation. (B, D)

Day 5 - Exmouth

We will spend today exploring Cape Range National park, a spectacular place of rugged limestone ranges, breathtaking deep canyons and 50km of pristine beaches. Experience snorkelling at the stunning Turquoise Bay (snorkel hire $10), visit Vlamingh Head Lighthouse, relax at Milyearing Visitors Centre and more before we return to our accommodation late afternoon. Day 6 - Exmouth to Karijini National Park

Up early we will travel east through station country and stop at Tom Price, the highest town in Western Australia, for supplies. Then we will head to the amazing Karijini National Park where we will stay at the multi award winning Karijini Eco Retreat in Eco Safari Tents with your own verandah, quality beds, linen and hot showers! Days 7 & 8 - Karijini National Park

The next 2 days will give us plenty of time to explore Karijini National Park and to enjoy 2.5 billion years of evolution and 40.000 years of culture. We will visit and hike the gorges, swim in amazing rock pools, stand under waterfalls and explore intriguing rock formations including Hancock Gorge, Weano Gorge and its adventurous Handrail Pool, Dales Gorge, Circular Pool, Fortescue Falls, Fern Pool and more. Then late on the second day we will travel further north to Pardoo Roadhouse and check in our tents or swags for a night of camping under the stars. (B, L, D)

Day 9 - Pardoo Roadhouse to Broome

The morning of day 9 sees us arrive at 80 Mile Beach for some awesome photos! When we arrive in Broome we will take you for a tour around town before we check in at our accommodation, The Kimberley Klub Backpackers. (B, L) Dinner at own expense.

Day 10, 11 - Broome

The next two days will allow you to enjoy free time and all that Broome has to offer! Go for a swim at the stunning Cable Beach, explore China Town and its pearling history, watch a movie at the world’s oldest open air cinema or ride a camel on the beach with sunset! Ask your tour guide for any assistance with booking tours. Then you will check out the cultural variety of eating venues for your lunches and dinners or cook your own at the hostel. (b)

Day 12: Broome to Silent Grove 

Departing Broome early we will head east towards the Gibb River Road and arrive at Windjana Gorge in the Napier Ranges for lunch. After lunch we will explore the gorge to view the native birds and resident freshwater crocodiles. On this afternoon we explore Tunnel Creek, an ancient reef system which is said to have existed 350 million years ago – before heading to Silent Grove for our first night at our campsite under the stars. (B, L, D)

Day 13: Silent Grove to Mt Elizabeth 

Enjoy waking up to the wilderness so very far away from the hustle and bustle of city life. On day 2 you will explore more of the region’s gorges including Bell, Galvans and Manning. The water levels at the time of your journey will determine which gorges you visit, however each are unique and special in their own right. After a day of walking and swimming in these magnificent natural attractions we will travel to our overnight location of Mount Elizabeth Station. (B, L, D)

Day 14: Mt Elizabeth to El Questro 

Heading further east we will explore, swim and hike this amazing part of Western Australia. We will drive across the Pentecost River and visit the beautiful Emma Gorge before arriving at El Questro for our first of two nights in this outback oasis.(B, L, D)

Day 15: El Questro 

Discover some of the one million acres of the El Questro Wilderness Park. Soak in Zebedee Springs and visit El Questro Gorge. Then continue your exploration through the many optional activities on offer or relax with a cold drink at the Swining Arm Bar. (B, L, D)

Day 16: El Questro to Purnululu (The Bungle Bungles) 

Today we will make our way to Purnululu National Park, home of the world famous Bungle Bungles. This afternoon we will begin by hiking deep into the amazing sandstone formation of Echidna Chasm and exploring the walk trails and lookouts of the Northern end of the park before settling into camp for a relaxing evening and watching a spectacular sunset over the famous striped Domes. Day 17: Bungle Bungles to Lake Argyle (via Kununurra) 

On this morning we explore the Southern end of the park including Picanninny Creek, The Domes and Cathedral Gorge with plenty of opportunities to take amazing photos of the famous 'beehive' shaped domes. There is also the option to take a helicopter ride over the domes, definitely one to tick off of the bucket list! We will then head towards Kununurra and making camp at the Argyle Tourist Village. Day 18: Lake Argyle to Katherine Region 

This morning we explore Australia’s largest man-made lake, Lake Argyle. It is home to 26 species of native fish, about 150,000 water birds as well as an estimated 25,000 freshwater crocodiles. Take an cruise on the lake ($35 optional) for a unique view and the oppourtunity to hand feed fish and go for a swim. We’ll then visit the Dam Wall before we cross the border into the Northern Territory and set up camp at Victoria River. (B, L, D) 

Day 19: Victoria River to Darwin 

This morning we head to Katherine and after a short stop we continue on to one of the Northern Territory’s most stunning areas, Nitmiluk National Park, with its towering cliff walls and meandering waterways. We will visit Edith Falls before arriving in Darwin in the early evening. (B, L)
