Mission Beach to Dunk Island Water Taxi Transfer

We are very lucky to have one of North Queenslands most beautiful island only 4kms off the coast of Mission Beach.  The Mission Beach Dunk Island Water Taxi can have you landed on Dunk Island in just ten minutes in a fully enclosed custom built Water Taxi.  Once on the island, take advantage of the great snorkelling at Muggy Muggy Beach and secluded bay.  For those who would like a bit more activity and adventure choose from one of the below stunning walking tracks on Dunk.  Lose yourself on a tropical island for the day with us.... 

Mt Kootaloo Lookout

Approximately 5.6 kilometres/2 hours return

As the highest point on the island (271 metres) this walk will reward you with panoramic views over some of the other members of the family group of islands.

Muggy Muggy Beach

Approximately 2 kilometres/30 minutes return

Aboriginal for “coral mushrooms where crayfish lurk. Muggy Muggy Beach is the perfect short rainforest walk and a great place to enjoy a picnic lunch on the beach. It boasts 360 million-year-old rocks, which are moulded into vertically folds. The track runs parallel to the water and is rich in a variety of vegetation.

Island Circuit

Approximately 9.2 kilometres / 3 hours round trip

Starting from the resort to Mt Kootaloo, you’ll pass through the magical Palm Valley and then onto Coconut Beach. Not for the faint hearted, this challenging walk will introduce you to Dunk Island’s lush green rainforest where you are likely to encounter the many different species of birdlife.
